| Identify and Connect |

It is a primary part of our purpose to identify all of the different houses of worship and faith based organizations which are actively involved in reaching out to those in need. Whether it's a large church or a small church or a group of individuals who have a heart and a desire to help people in need, we want to identify them and what they do so that they can get connected to potential resources and information. We believe that when the Church in Charleston is seen identifying itself as a corporate church and that collectively we are reaching out to help those in need, then they will recognize that we are not a fractured body but instead we are an interconnected body with a purpose of being the visible representative of the one true living God. As we identify these different houses of worship and different Christ-centered organizations it is our desire to connect with them so that we can better share the resources that God has given us and make others aware of what services are available through these organizations. This will allow us to see where the gaps are in the city and help us target those areas for new ministry opportunities. We are not a group who wants to dictate how ministry should be done but instead allow these newly discovered churches and organizations the opportunity to minister the way they feel they have been called to minister. God calls different people for different purposes and gives them different ministries. We need to celebrate this fact and not try to conform anyone to a specific technique, style or pattern. |
